How it all began

Whangaparāoa Kindergarten is a proud part of the Kaitiaki Kindergartens Association — a not-for-profit community kindergarten dedicated to nurturing curious minds and joyful learners.

Our Friends of Kindergarten (FOK) committee is made up of passionate mums, dads, and teachers who work together to create exciting, community-focused events. Through these efforts, we raise funds to reinvest into our beautiful kindergarten — ensuring our tamariki have a richly resourced, inspiring environment where they can learn, grow, and thrive.

What began as a fun competition to help raise funds for our new playground, has now become a community-wide festival that we look forward to each Summer, full of fun, games and prizes!
